Township of North Dumfries Administration Office

Design-build of a 3,283 sq. ft. administration building for the Township of North Dumfries. Abcott’s design was selected through a public competition for its cost-effective construction approach and ability to meet the owner’s timeline and budget.

Work included full excavation to 4m due to poor soil conditions, a reinforced insulated raft foundation, and a “Butler” pre-engineered structure with SB-10 insulation and MR24 standing seam roof. The exterior features black reflective aluminum windows with charcoal, white, and wood grain siding.

Interior includes offices with full-height glass walls, open workspaces, washrooms, mechanical and IT rooms, kitchen/board room, and locker room. The building is serviced by a drilled well and raised septic bed, and heated with a high-efficiency electric heat pump.
